About Brass Plastic Moulding Insert

The DBI-039 Brass Plastic Moulding Insert from DBI integrates seamlessly with plastic components and assemblies, delivering reliable hardware installation with long-lasting durability and precision machining. These are manufactured in India and come in polished gold colour, can be available with metric or imperial threads as required for application. Press-fit installation ensures secure installation, while corrosion and heat resistance ensure reliable performance in challenging environments. Brass Plastic Moulding Inserts are available in various shapes, such as round, hexagonal, double hex, square and customized. The size of threads and dimensions may start from M1.5 or similar and go up to custom sizes. Cross, diamond, double, straight and unidirectional knurling are available, as are blind and thru insert. Enhanced pull-out resistance and mechanical engagement can be achieved with deep grooves.

The inserts are made in free-cutting brass grades like IS 319 Type (I), BS 249 Type (I) and CuZn37Pb3 equivalent to BS 2874. Other grades such as CZ 121, CZ 131, C3604, CDA 360 and DTD 627 are available on request. There are several configurations for thread, such as ISO Metric, BA, BSW, UNC, UNF, UNEF, NPT, BSP, and BSPT. They are available in Natural, golden, silver, nickel-plated, chrome-plated, tin-plated and custom finishes and coatings.
